TwinStar II Float Plane Convversion Kit
- Model: Twin star conversion

I converted a very used twinstar II with the float plane conversion. I mostly fly from water and wanted to get more e-power planes, and get away from glow power. I followed the on-line instructions and was pleased at how good the plane came out.I substituted an old pair of GP PBY floats on mine, and they worked out fine. Using a pair of cheap chinese outrunners and 2200, 11.1 lipo the plane flew very well, a little slower than my land version, but very capable in the wind, and lands and takes off like a dream. I like to install the escs in the nacelles on the tsII, but they need to be shielded on the water version, or they get wet and well you all know what happens then. I used small pieces of canopy plastic to cover them and so far so good. Keep you props as short as you can to keep the spray down on take-off and taxi. For $19.00 this is the best thing I have seen in years. Thanks to PF plastics for a nice kit. Dave
