This short Kit comes with inkjet printer plans that are 3 x9 foot! Plenty of room for the patterns and many illustrations needed to build the model. The formed plastic parts in the kit are: Cockpit canopy, 4 cowls with a male/ female fit for easy assembly and the nacelles needed to blend the cowls into the wings. Most of the airframe is made using 1 sheet of 1-inch foam insulation board from your home improvement store. How to cut the board into ¼ inch sheets is part of the illustrations.
The wingspan is 68 inches and the length is 62 inches. Total weight came to be 5 pounds.
This light weight is because of the ¼ inch foam panels it is constructed with, tip to tail. The battery the design uses is a single 3700 MAH 3 cell pack and is overpowered with 4 ea. Hextronik DT750 and 4 ea. 18 AMP speed controllers. Using smaller motors will only make your model lighter.
This design is above modelers new to foam construction. However, my Building with foam book offered on this site will walk you thru what you need to know.
The build thread on RC Groups has plenty of photos too, The link to the thread is HERE.
