757 W/O Plans

This 757 design was featured in the October 2007 issue of Flying Models Magazine. This model is a rather complex project due to the scale gear details that are included in the plans. This is why the model is restricted to paved surfaces as most jets are. The difference is in the wing loading, this model will slow down enough for a moderate pilot to enjoy. Specifications Construction is foam and balsa. 88 inch span 7 ft. long ducted fan electric powered. Flying weight is 9 pounds. I used two Mega 20/30/3 and 90 mm Webotec fan units. The battery is a single 6 cell 5000 MAH tannic battery pack. There is plenty of room in the model to use larger packs if you want. I think 17 min flight time is enough though. The plastic package contains: Two dummy motors / cowls (three pieces each). Two pilot figures Six dummy flap hinge fairings. One cockpit face / mask . . . .windows. It  a one piece clear plastic canopy that attaches to the foam fuselage so your model can have windows. For a near systematic set of instructions to build this model, go to my build log thread located on the
