Wing span 52 inches Length 35 inches Flying weight 2 pounds. Balsa construction . Featured in Flying Models magazine in March 2006.
This model is best flown in winds around 7 MPH and up to 12 comfortably. It has a surprising speed envelope due to its undercambered wing; at full power it handles like a sport model but throttled back it becomes a park flyer. When equipped with a brushless motor the Macchi can be flown from grass and water. Loops and rolls are possible however inverted flight is allot of work.
The short kit comes with plans, Laser cut wood , dummy motor and pilot figure.
Note: The plans have been redrawn from the original with more details and illustrations including a key to the laser cut parts for easy identification.
